On the Roof of the World

June 2012: Tibet is closed for several weeks to tourists following self-immolation by some monks. Blissfully unaware we will be doing this trip, the news doesn’t even register with us.

January 2013: Entry to Tibet is only for groups of 7 or more and you have to be the same nationality: that’s a mission we don’t think we’ll achieve and consider alternative plans for getting to India.

The China Team arrives in Tibet
